Amazed. Totally Speechless!

Well, I have to say, I have never been so impressed in my entire life by anyone singing. This almost had me in tears, it was such a BEAUTIFUL performance!

This is Leona Lewis, performing "Run", which is her new single from the Deluxe Edition of her album, "Spirit". It's a cover of the Snow Patrol song, but I have to say, as much as I love the original, Leona has just made this an incredible ballad. If this doesn't go to number one, I'll be shocked!

FINALLY, my website is almost completed, the layout is done however, there's just a few codes that need tweaking etc and the sidebar needs to be completed, but so far, so good! :)

These illustrations were for the last project we did at university, you know, the one I was really annoyed about? Well, anyway, here are 6 of the illustrations I did.

A Big Disappointment

In the whole entirety of my 18 years and 11 months on this planet, I have never felt so disappointed with the way something has gone. I genuinely have this sense of overwhelming insecurity about how my tutors at college are going to react to my work. I do not think I did well at all, and I'm not happy about how my illustrations have turned out. Time Management is a major factor of why I'm less than happy about this project, and is most certainly something I need to focus on improving.

Onto happier things, I'm seriously considering moving to Edinburgh next year. I miss the college atmosphere that I felt while I was at CCAD and apparently it's very similar. I just think that it may suit me better.

I will update this later, as I really don't feel in the mood with this stupid stomach ache!

The Dreaded "First Post"

So, here we are, my very first entry to this. I've not been one to write masses upon masses about anything on blogs but I'll give this a go. I did manage to propel myself enough, in a two hour lecture almost two weeks ago, to conduct the writing of a one-hundred-and-fifty word manifesto in the name of Graphic Design, and what it means to me. That, I have to say, did not go well. Hopefully, this will.

Almost halfway through my first semester at university, I'm finding myself struggling to be inspired by pretty much anything. It's hard when you're living in an apartment, which by the looks of it, should be owned by a homeless person (and that's saying something!). It may just be because I have not settled in, or the fact I'm not working as much as I had been at college, due to the lack of timetabled sessions. Either way, as of tomorrow I am going to attempt to spend most of my day doing creative things: drawing, painting, writing and playing guitar...anything to urge the left side of my brain to get into action!

I am going to leave that there for now, it's getting late and I want to start early on my illustrations tomorrow. Goodnight.
